This policy explains what personal data Heralds Quest collects when you register your interest on this site, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. We keep it short because we collect very little.

Who we are

Heralds Quest ("we", "us") operates heralds.quest and is the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at hello@heralds.quest for any privacy question or request.

What we collect

Only your email address, and only when you choose to submit it through our sign-up form. We also record the date you signed up and which page you signed up from. We do not require an account, and this site sets no tracking or advertising cookies.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

We use your email solely to:

• send you a one-time welcome confirming your interest;
• notify you when Heralds Quest launches, and send occasional product updates you signed up for.

Our legal basis is your consent, given when you submit the form. You can withdraw it at any time (see below).

How it is stored and shared

Your email is stored securely on Amazon Web Services (encrypted at rest) and sent using Amazon SES. We never sell, rent, or share your email with third parties for their own marketing. Our email and hosting providers process it only to deliver our messages on our behalf.

How long we keep it

We keep your email until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, after which we remove it. Addresses that hard-bounce or mark us as spam are automatically suppressed and no longer contacted.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to our use of your data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email hello@heralds.quest and we will act promptly. You can also unsubscribe instantly using the link in any email we send.

If you believe we have mishandled your data, you may complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above. Material changes will be made clear on this page.
